One adult and one
child ticket for Cotswold Wildlife Park, Burford |
|
Description: |
Cotswold Wildlife Park is set in 160 acres of parkland and
gardens around a listed Victorian Manor House and has been open to the public
since 1970. The Park is home to a fascinating and varied collection of
mammals, birds, reptiles and invertebrates from all over the world and
aspires to show animals to people - so that they can come to understand and
respect all forms of wildlife; to understand what is special about each
species, and how the various species have evolved over very long periods of
time, adjusting to survive in habitats from many parts of the earth. The Park
offers a fascinating collection of animals. Many are endangered in the
I.U.C.N.'s (International Union for the Conservation of Nature) Red Data
Books; others are still relatively numerous in the wild, but offer an
educational encounter of value. |

Two day-fishing
tickets at The Old Mill, Aldermaston |
|
Description: |
Aldermaston Mill offers one of the few opportunities for
day ticket fishing on the River Kennet. This is where the River Enbourne
joins the River Kennet and it offer some excellent coarse fishing, especially
for big barbel and chub. The famous lawn swims below the weir are popular
spots to try. Try swim feeder tactics with maggots on hot days when the water
is clear and meat when the water is coloured. The upper swims has slower
water and holds good numbers of carp, bream and roach. Trotted maggots,
casters or bread work well. |

A week at CRE8-it
for one child |
|
Description: |
Cre8-it is run by the John Simonds Trust at Rushall Manor
Farm, Bradfield. The thatched barn makes a fantastic setting for
action-packed days filled with arts + crafts, sport, music, dance,
pond-dipping and shelter building. Each week is threaded with a Christian
theme and rounded off with an exhibition and BBQ. It is a wonderful
opportunity to make new friends outside in the sun. A team of experienced
staff are ready to help and care for your children, normally from 10am to 4pm
Monday to Friday. |
